Missions have always been one of the central focuses of Knox. Historically, we have supported a combination of long term and short-term missionaries as well as local and national ministry organizations.
As a church we are committed to worshiping God both individually and corporately. Our 100-year-old sanctuary boasts a majestic pipe organ and wonderful acoustics. We sing both classic hymns and contemporary songs. Come worship with us.
English Conversation Ministry
Our International Ministry began a number of years ago under the leadership of the late Karen Hoel as a way to meet the needs of the growing new immigrant population in our city.
Our Karen Hoel English Conversation Class runs every Saturday morning during the school year. This is an opportunity for those learning English to come and converse together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere
Ping Pong Ministry
Knox hosts a Saturday morning ping pong event from September through June where people from different countries come to play friendly and competitive games of ping pong and have a time of fellowship together. Over the years we have had attendees from China, Iran, Nigeria, Tanzania, Egypt, Syria, Turkey and Pakistan. Ping pong play is limited to adults, but their children often enjoy checking out the church. Our players and their families have formed a warm and friendly community. Two times a year we share in a potluck lunch together right after ping pong. We always welcome new players and their families.
At Knox we enjoy meeting in community to consider the ways in which belief in God can impact our daily lives. We have various small groups which meet regularly to investigate Christianity and deepen our spiritual growth.
Currently our small groups are exploring the 'Experiencing God' study by Henry Blackaby. Our Thursday and Saturday groups meet bi-weekly.
